    Open Toss on your computer, follow the setup checks, and enter the key from your invitation.

    Pair your phone

    Scan the QR code with Toss on your iPhone, then enter your computer password.

    Browse files or open a terminal. Keep your computer awake with Toss running.

Questions

Can I connect when I’m away from home?

Yes. Keep your computer awake, online, and running Toss. No Tailscale or router changes required.

Does Toss store my files in the cloud?

No. The connection service forwards encrypted SSH traffic and records pairing, status, and usage. It cannot read your files or terminal sessions.

What happens when I’m on the same Wi-Fi?

Toss uses a local route when available. Service-paired computers still need the connection service for authorization.

How do I join the beta?

The beta is invitation-only. Your invitation will include TestFlight access and a computer setup key.

Can I disconnect a paired phone?

Yes. Revoke a phone in desktop Toss to remove its access, or pause access temporarily.
